Where is my journal stored?
Gemi uses on-device storage and supports iCloud sync. Check the app settings, your Apple account, available storage and sync status to understand your setup. Sync support is not a promise of a separate, permanent backup with unlimited capacity.
What happens when I use AI?
AI analysis, companion features and cloud transcription send the text or audio they need to an external service for processing. Ordinary entries follow the storage choice you make in the app.
The current public policy describes external processing, but does not fully identify every service provider, retention period or training-use rule. This page therefore does not promise that all content stays on your device, is never retained or is never used for training. If these conditions matter to your decision, ask through in-app feedback before using the relevant feature.
Can I journal without an AI conversation?
Basic recording and browsing have their own interfaces. A separate AI conversation is not a prerequisite for keeping a journal. Review the current AI options and prompts in the app; this page does not claim that every operation works offline.
Does this website collect my entries?
The website has no journal input or upload feature, and its demonstrations do not submit journal content. The website uses Google Analytics to count page visits and button clicks. It collects no journal content and has advertising and cross-device signals turned off. To opt out, use “Turn off site analytics” in the footer; reading and downloading work the same either way. A counted download click does not confirm an installation.
